BioRestLab Rating Methodology: How We Score Products
Every product recommendation on BioRestLab is scored against the same six criteria, with the same weights, every time. This page explains exactly how — including what we can and cannot assess.
The Six Criteria

| Build quality & durability | 20% | Materials, construction and documented long-term owner feedback. |
| Comfort & usability | 20% | Ease of use, fit and daily-use friction reported by owners. |
| Value for money | 15% | Performance relative to price, including relevant subscriptions or consumables. |
| Safety & certifications | 10% | Relevant certifications and documented safety considerations. |
| Brand trust & warranty | 5% | Warranty terms, trial periods and available evidence about after-sales support. |
Each criterion is scored 1–10. The weighted total produces the BioRestLab Rating on a 1–10 scale.
How We Gather Evidence
- Published research — relevant peer-reviewed research and authoritative sources, cited where used.
- Verified-purchase review analysis — systematic analysis of recurring owner experiences rather than relying only on average star ratings.
- Manufacturer specifications and certifications — product specifications and relevant certifications, checked against available primary sources where possible.
What We Do Not Claim
We do not currently conduct in-house physical testing of every product we cover. We do not claim to have used a product hands-on unless that testing actually took place and is documented. Where an external hands-on test is relevant, we identify it as an external source.
Affiliate Relationships
Products are scored independently of affiliate commission rates. Commercial relationships do not determine the criteria, weighting or final score. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Who Does the Rating
Ratings and guides are researched, written and reviewed by the BioRestLab Editorial Team using the process described on this page. We do not attribute ratings to individual named experts, and we do not claim clinical or professional review unless it has actually taken place. Each rated product shows the date its rating was last reviewed, and articles show when they were last updated.
When Ratings Change
Ratings may be revisited when a product changes, new evidence materially changes the category assessment, or recurring owner feedback reveals relevant durability or usability patterns.
